Go on 2 or 3 day cycling trips and camp in the wild.

How to go about collecting things in the field?

A)

Position yourself in the field.

Target the horizon.

Take 10 steps towards your target.

Lower your focus to the field floor on your right hand side.

Firmly swing your head to the field floor on your left hand side.

Collect.

Repeat this act 7 times.

RESULT 29/05/2020:

Nothing.

B)

Gently follow the shoreline of the main body of water counterclockwise.

Collect whatever meets your gaze and whatever you can carry around without straining yourself.

Part of a golfbal.

A small piece of pink plastic.

A piece of yellow electricity cable.

A ragged frisbee.

How to go about identifying the items of your collection?

A)

Describe the items.

In most cases this will prove sufficient.

If not.

B)

Ask questions.

For example.

Is it ball-shaped?

Yes.

Is it perfectly

ball-shaped?

No.

It might be part of a golf ball.

Does it have tiny dents?

And so on.

Create your own idiosyncratic identification key. 

 

How to go about exploring the potential of your items?

A)

Take pictures of the items against a neutral backdrop. 

One by one.

n any order you see fit.

 

B)

Remodel the items with plasticine and take pictures of the remodeled items.

What about a packing list?

A)

Something hairy.

A toothbrush on a stick.
